Art Therapy Kelowna
Hi hi, I’m Jordyn. I help children, youth and families creatively navigate life’s edges through art therapy in Kelowna, BC.
My Story
For the past six years, I’ve been supporting children, youth, adults, and athletes in both private practice and community settings. After a degree in Sociology and a minor in Art & Design from the University of Alberta, I completed a post-graduate diploma in Art Therapy from the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute. My work is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in compassion — with additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Before moving into full-time private practice, I worked as a child and youth mental health & PEACE counsellor in nonprofit agencies and schools across the Kootenays. I’ve also run workshops for athletes and facilitated expressive arts groups for adults, always with the goal of helping people find creative ways to navigate life’s edges.
Currently, I’m working toward full registration as a Registered Canadian Art Therapist (RCAT) and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC). I bring lived experience, clinical training, and a creative heart to every session.
If you're looking for a counsellor who will meet you with authenticity, curiosity, and care, I’d love to connect.

FAQ
-
Art therapy is a form of therapy that uses creative expression—like drawing, painting, or sculpting—as a way to explore emotions, process experiences, and support healing. It’s especially helpful when words are hard to find.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, art therapy gives clients another language—the language of images, color, and movement—to express what’s going on inside.
